Before purchasing a set of Occidental Leather bags I was using a bulky set of CLC Framers that were cumbersome and uncomfortable. I had mulled over the Oxylights before but the price tag kind of scared me away. I finally had enough of the bulky bags and purchased a set of Oxylights, what a night and day difference!!! The bags are a mix of leather and nice soft pliable nylon. Unlike other bags made out of super hard poly the Oxylights conform to your waist. The leather belt that comes with the set is well built, thin and sturdy compared to the fat uncomfortable nylon belts that come with most bags. I've only had these bags a short time, but the more they break in the more comfortable they become. Another big plus is how "tight" the tool bags are, with my old set of fat, saggy, and wide CLC's I was snagging and bumping everything around the job site, with the oxylights I can squeeze through studs with ease. The hammer holder that comes with the set is great, no more slapping thigh when you bend over. Occidental leather thought out their bag layout, there is a pocket/pouch for all common framing tools with plenty of carrying room for nails and hardware. The smell of the leather is a plus too!The only small gripe I have about the bags is that the pencil holders and speed square holders are on the left side of the bags. It's not that big of a deal but after years of having them on the right side I'll have to train myself to reach to the left.I had mentioned price earlier but when you look at cost savings over a period of a few years you'd most likely come out ahead if you purchased a good set of bags like the Oxylights the first time around. I think I spent around $120 for the CLC's, and around $60 for the AWP's I had before that, so $180 over a 4 year period for bags that I was unhappy with. If these bags ever wear out I have no problem plunking down the cash for another set. If your looking for a comfortable set of bags made to last look no further!!!!!!!!!
